Welcome to the Western Maryland Veg Life Meetup Group!  We provide a great forum to meet fellow health-seekers, environmentalists, vegans, vegetarians, raw food enthusiasts, backyard organic gardeners, etc. and to learn more about alternative health lifestyles. There are so many reasons for choosing a plant-based diet, from health, to animal rights, to environmentalism.  Whatever your interest, we can come together in conscious community to share conversation, tasty food, ideas and information!  We currently have regular potlucks, including vegan and raw/living foods, and hope to expand to other topic based meetings, including natural health, disease prevention, environmental concerns, special diets and nutrition, fitness, alternative medicine and more!  So, come join us as we build a healthy-living, eco-conscious, compassionate and fun-loving community in the Western Maryland area! 

 

Note:  All our food events are vegan, though we welcome curious omnivores and long-term vegans alike!  Everyone needs their fruits and veggies!  However, with such a diversity of dietary concerns these days, please make sure to carefully label all potluck dishes.  For a list of animal-derived ingredients, check out .http://www.happycow.net/health-animal-ingredients.html
